Gameweek 13 Fantasy Premier League 5 midfielders to pick

premier league, fantasy football, fpl, fantasy sports

Gameweek 13 Fantasy Premier League midfielders should be of the utmost importance when selecting your team this week.

By their own high standards, FPL’s top three midfielders had poor showings in gameweek 12. Can either Eden Hazard, Philippe Coutinho and Alexis Sanchez do better in gameweek 13 Fantasy Premier League? We will have to wait and see.

Philippe Coutinho – Liverpool

Games: 12; Goals: 5; Total FPL points: 77

Just behind FPL midfield points leader Hazard, Coutinho makes the FantasySports.co.uk top 5 again. Despite only tallying two points last week, Coutinho’s lowest output since gameweek 7, Coutinho has an easy set of fixtures upcoming.

It feels like I have been writing this forever, but the fact is, Liverpool’s fixtures remain winnable until the end of December when they face Manchester City.

Coutinho will hopefully return to form, and Liverpool will romp past Sunderland in Gameweek 13 Fantasy Premier League

Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal

Games: 12; Goals: 6; Total FPL points: 73

Sanchez only returned one point last week, but like Coutinho, his team will be facing a team they should dominate. Arsenal host Bournemouth in gameweek 13 Fantasy Premier League, and the midfielder should have his way with the Cherries’ defenders.

The Gunners’ fixture against Bournemouth will usher in a run of four winnable matches until they meet Manchester City in mid-December.

Eden Hazard – Chelsea

Games: 12; Goals: 7; Total FPL points: 86

If you are playing daily fantasy sports in gameweek 13, you may want to think twice about picking Hazard. The midfielder’s team will have the most difficult match of the top three midfielders in FPL.

Hazard faces off against the Premier League’s best defence this weekend. Tottenham have only given up eight goals, one less than Chelsea, and Hazard could be corralled like he hasn’t been yet this term.

However, Chelsea have performed well in big games this term and Hazard could run wild in gameweek 13 Fantasy Premier League.

Kevin De Bruyne – Manchester City

Games: 11; Assists: 9; Total FPL points: 69

The Premier League’s top assist man makes our gameweek 13 Fantasy Premier League midfielders list for a second straight week.

Last week’s seven point performance was modest from the Belgian. However, it was inline with what he had done the week prior.

Against Burnley in gameweek 13, De Bruyne should be able to find another assist and possibly a goal against a side that shipped four goals against West Brom last weekend.

Etienne Capoue – Watford

Games: 12; Goals: 5; Total FPL points: 68

Number six in points for midfielders in FPL, Etienne Capoue has put together a rather solid season for Watford. Costing a mere £5.0 million, Capoue started the season red-hot.

Capoue inevitably cooled down, but last weekend he put in a shift and scored 10 points. This week against Stoke he may very well put in another big game and double-digit points tally. He could very well be the bargain of gameweek 13 Fantasy Premier League as well.
