According to reports from Germany, Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not sign with Chelsea this transfer window.
Germany’s Kicker sports news outlet reported that Dortmund have now decided against selling Aubameyang this summer transfer window and will hang on to the player. Aubameyang has been linked with a host of clubs including Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan. However, the Bundesliga season is nearing, which would keep the club from finding a suitable replacement in time.
Although Aubameyang will not sign with Chelsea, the club is still pursuing a new striker. However, it seems the team are unable to find a player interested in joining the side or a club willing to sell to them.
Antonio Conte has now turned his attention toward Juventus hitman Gonzalo Higuain. Despite the interest, Juventus have apparently already turned down an £88 million offer for the player.
With options running out ahead of the Premier League season, Conte may be forced to keep Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge.
