FPL forwards for gameweek 12

premier league, fantasy football, fpl, fantasy sports

Unlike the Fantasy Premier League midfielders, FPL forwards for gameweek 12 have better availability. None of the top four FPL forwards will miss  this week’s action. FPL managers looking for midfielders unfortunately don’t have the same luxury.

Diego Costa – Chelsea

Games: 11; Goals 9; Total FPL points: 73

The walking riot that is Diego Costa continued his fine form in gameweek 11 as he racked up nine points. This week’s trip to Middlesrbough sees Costa up against a team hovering just above the relegation zone.

Gameweek 12 could be the last week some FPL managers put him in the side as Chelsea play Tottenham and Manchester City next. Play the hot hand now.

Romelu Lukaku – Everton

Games: 10; Goals: 7; Total FPL points: 69

FantasySports.co.uk recommended Costa over Romelu Lukaku in gameweek 11, and boy, were we right. Lukaku and Everton were punked by Chelsea 5-0.

The Toffees should bounce back, however. This week Everton play a bad Swansea side before taking on Southampton, Manchester United and Watford.

Lukaku should get back to form in the next three weeks, and his match against Chelsea should just be a one-off.

Sergio Aguero – Manchester City

Games: 9; Goals: 8; Total FPL points: 61

Sergio Aguero continued his bounce back from FPL points purgatory last week with a six point haul. The next two weeks see Manchester City playing Crystal Palace and Burnley, and he should keep that form going.

Not only are the two matches winnable, but Aguero can once again showcase just why many consider him to be the only world-class player in the English Premier League right now.

Palace’s defence is tied for conceding the fourth most goals this term. Bet on Aguero to do some damage.

Sam Vokes – Burnley

Games: 11; Goals: 4; Total FPL points: 46

Sam Vokes continues to be a surprise package in FPL. Currently ranked seventh in total points, the Burnley man had an 11 point tally in gameweek 11.

This time out Burnley face West Brom Albion away. However, with his fine form last time against Crystal Palace, Vokes could not only be a bargain at £6.2 million, but a wise FPL forward choice.

Jermain Defoe – Sunderland

Games: 11; Goals: 6; Total FPL points: 61

Jermain Defoe has scored in his last two Premier League matches and in gameweek 11, he powered Sunderland to their first win of the Premier League season.

Despite Sunderland being rather bad, Defoe continues to get points, which is rather remarkable, really. In his last two games, Defoe has combined to score 19 points. In FPL gameweek 12, his Sunderland will be up against a very poor Hull City.

The Tigers have given up the most goals in the Premier League this season. Defoe should get a spot in your side as a second or third forward. FantasySports.co.uk is predicting he will play well and Sunderland will win for a second straight gameweek.
