Forwards for gameweek 14 Fantasy Premier League are in fine form. Sergio Aguero will attempt to close the gap on Chelsea’s Diego Costa as the Blues visit the Etihad Stadium.

Aguero’s 12 point haul last weekend showed a forward returning to form.

The clash won’t just be about the top forwards for gameweek 14 in FPL, but it will also be about the battle for top spot in the English Premier League.

Who gets into this week’s FantasySports.co.uk top 5 forwards for gameweek 14 Fantasy Premier League?

Sergio Aguero – Manchester City

Games: 11; Goals: 10; Total FPL points: 75

Aguero has put his worst FPL spell behind him. Last weekend’s 12 point haul shows that he is well worth a slot in your fantasy team for gameweek 14.

Despite playing against a much better Chelsea defence, Aguero will be called upon as always to lead the line.

FPL managers should be warned, however. Aguero has a total of one point combined against Tottenham, Manchester United and Everton. Chelsea’s defence could provide another poor day for Aguero.

Diego Costa – Chelsea

Games: 13; Goals: 10; FPL points: 87

Costa has been Mr Consistency in FPL this term. Despite not scoring last weekend, Costa still managed five points in Chelsea’s win over Tottenham.

Regardless of Chelsea’s difficult away trip to Manchester City, Aguero should bully the team’s defence as he continues to be one of the best forwards for gameweek 14.

Chelsea’s fixture list gets massively easier in the five matches directly after Manchester City. Buy Costa if you can afford him. Then make sure you keep him.

Charlie Austin – Southampton

Games: 12; Goals: 6; Total FPL points: 58

Looking for someone to pair with Costa or Aguero? Got some cash for your forwards for gameweek 14? Charlie Austin may be the perfect fit for your fantasy side.

Austin tallied a goal in his nine point performance last weekend and bounced back after a two point tally against Liverpool the week prior.

Southampton have a lovely run of fixtures upcoming that includes Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough, Stoke and Bournemouth before the Christmas holiday period.

Alvaro Negredo – Middlesbrough

Games: 13; Goals: 3; Total FPL points: 52

Last weekend saw Alvaro Negredo end an 11 week scoreless run. The Middlesbrough forward scored twice as the team drew with Leicester.

Negredo has surprisingly tallied a decent number of points this FPL season. Especially for a forward that has just scored three times.

Middlesbrough face Hull in gameweek 14. The Tigers have given up the most goals in the Premier League (28). It is a good time to get Negredo in your team, even if it is just for one week.

Unfortunately, the setbacks to the Spaniard are both his price tag of £6.2 million and his inconsistent form. Buyers should beware, but understand he could be a wild card.

Divock Origi – Liverpool

Games: 10; Goals: 1; Total FPL points: 16

Okay, Divock Origi isn’t the first name on your FPL team sheet, and why should he be? He has barely played, and when he has, Origi has been a substitute.

However, Liverpool’s attack is massively depleted this week. Philippe Coutinho is out until at least January, Daniel Sturridge could miss gameweek 14 with a calf injury, Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana have also been fighting to get fit.

The team’s injury problems should force Origi into action at some time in gameweek 14 against Bournemouth.

Last weekend saw the Belgian get his first goal of the season. He put in his best points haul of the year with seven. If played from the start, he could be one of the best forwards for gameweek 14.
