Gameweek 19 midfielders to swap, steal or buy

premier league, fantasy football, fpl, fantasy sports

Gameweek 19 midfielders are points hungry this week. It has been a short week due to the Boxing Day fixtures, but the top fantasy midfielders are fit and ready to go.

So, who do we like as our gameweek 19 midfielders? Let’s look and see.

Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal

Games: 18; Goals: 12; Total FPL points: 130

Somebody call a doctor, because there is something wrong with Alexis Sanchez. Sure, he gets into the FantasySports.co.uk top five gameweek 19 midfielders list.

But the Chilean has now gone back-to-back games without a goal.

Merit, potential and Arsenal’s weak fixture list gets Sanchez into the gameweek 19 midfielders list. It is only a matter of time until he scores again.

He should do well against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Eden Hazard – Chelsea

Games: 17; Goals: 9; Total FPL points: 113

Eden Hazard had a 10 point haul against Bournemouth on Boxing Day. His goal was the ninth of the season for the Belgian and shows he has put last term behind him.

Hazard, and all of Chelsea for that matter, are thriving under Antonio Conte.

Chelsea’s fixture list does get harder, but gameweek 19 sees them take on Stoke. Expect a clean sheet from Chelsea and Hazard to do some damage.

Christian Eriksen – Tottenham

Games: 17; Goals: 5; Total FPL points: 98

Five goals and seven assists this season has Christian Eriksen a regular member on our top five. His last six fixtures has seen the midfielder turn in more consistent results.

Eriksen is definitely worth selection as one of your gameweek 19 midfielders as Spurs go away to Watford. Even gameweek 20’s opponents Chelsea had difficulty stopping Eriksen this season.

Based on form and past performance, get Eriksen into your gameweek 19 midfielders and beyond.

Dele Alli – Tottenham

Games: 17; Goals: 6; Total FPL points: 86

Last week, we said to get Dele Alli into your fantasy team. Did you listen? If you did, you tallied 15 points from the Englishman. If you didn’t, listen this time around.

Alli has played quite well of late, and with Watford up next, he is one of the most important gameweek 19 midfielders you can select.

Even against Chelsea in gameweek 20, he is worth giving a start. Earlier this term he tallied five points against them. Not great, but it showed potential.

Roberto Firmino – Liverpool

Games: 17; Goals: 6; Total FPL points: 92

If you are looking to make a brave pick for this week’s Fantasy Premier League, Roberto Firmino is your man.

Liverpool face off against Manchester City in gameweek 19, but Firmino’s 10 point tally last time out shows potential.

Problem is, Firmino was well out of form ahead of Liverpool’s post-Christmas clash with Stoke. He had averaged just 2.5 points per game in his previous six.

A bold choice, but will it payoff? We are thinking he just might as one of your gameweek 19 midfielders.
