The English Premier League is back in action after a short week  and FPL gameweek 24 begins with a bang on Saturday with Chelsea and Arsenal clashing at the Bridge.

After a short week and managers looking for high-quality FPL gameweek 24 players, who are the 5 important players you should get into your team?

Gabriel Jesus – Manchester City

Last match: 11 points

Gabriel Jesus showed exactly why Manchester City made his signature a priority when he helped power the Blues past West Ham in gameweek 23.

With City all of a sudden revitalised, Jesus looks to be the player that will lead them forward. Still only £9.1, Jesus and City will take on Swansea, Bournemouth, Sunderland and Stoke in the coming match days. FPL gameweek 24 could be another attacking display from Jesus.

Seamus Coleman – Everton

Last match: 5 points

Seamus Coleman has been in good form over the last four gameweeks. FPL gameweek 24 sees Everton up against Bournemouth. Coleman has plenty of potential and Everton’s run of upcoming games look promising for big points.

Scott Dann – Crystal Palace

Last match: 15 points

Scott Dann is a great buy at £5.2, and while he hasn’t put up the numbers of Chelsea’s defenders, he does have the potential to score big in the coming gameweeks.

FPL gameweek 24 sees Palace take on Sunderland, but the potential for points doesn’t stop there for Dann. Palace take on Stoke, Middlesbrough and West Brom in the subsequent gameweeks.

David Silva – Manchester City

Last Match: 10 points

David Silva was one of FPL’s biggest disappointments up until gameweek 23. He must have read our studs and duds article last week, because he all of a sudden turned in a blinder against West Ham.

Silva has matches against Swansea, Bournemouth, Sunderland and Stoke in the coming weeks. He has great potential, and is a must for FPL gameweek 24.

Giorgio Wijnaldum – Liverpool

Last Match: 10 points

Giorgio Wijnaldum had a starring role in Liverpool’s draw with Chelsea in gameweek 23. He has been a highly transferred for player ahead of FPL gameweek 24. Wijnaldum is a good addition for the coming week, but games against Spurs and Arsenal follow.

Wijnaldum scored seven points combined in Liverpool’s previous matches against Spurs and Arsenal, but he is in good form at the moment. The midfielder has scored 15 points over his last two, so FPL gameweek 24 could be another solid week for him.
