FPL Gameweek 28 midfield points scorers

premier league, fantasy football, fpl, fantasy sports

Fantasy Premier League gameweek 28 will see only four fixtures as the FA Cup is back in action. Due to the limited set of games, midfield players are pickings slim this week. But that doesn’t mean FPL gameweek 28 will be a bust for your daily fantasy sports team or Fantasy Premier League squad.

Gameweek 27’s midfield was a mixed bag, so hopefully this week we can do a bit better. Do you agree with our choices?

Sadio Mane – Liverpool

Games: 24; Goals: 12; Total FPL points: 147

Sadio Mane had another massive FPL gameweek as liverpool thrashed Arsenal, 3-1. Mane tallied a goal and an assist in Liverpool’s win as the Reds now start a more favourable set of fixtures.

If you don’t have Mane in your DFS or FPL gameweek 28 teams, you may miss out on huge returns. Liverpool host Burnley and should do better than in their previous meeting this season.

Gylfi Sigurdsson – Swansea

Games: 27; Goals: 8; Total FPL points: 136

Gylfi Sigurdsson makes our top 5 FPL gameweek midfielders after a five point performance. Although he wasn’t an elite player a week ago, he makes the list due to the limited number of fixtures in gameweek 28.

Swansea offers great value and potential this week, so don’t be afraid to start a Swansea player or two. The Welsh club face Hull away, and should perform much better than in this season’s previous meeting.

Sigurdsson has tallied three assist in three straight FPL gameweek matches. Sign him up.

Ross Barkley – Everton

Games: 25; Goals: 4; Total FPL points: 101

Ross Barkley doesn’t score a lot of goals. In fact, he has only three double-digit FPL gameweek matches under his belt this season.

While Everton lost last weekend to Tottenham, Barkley still managed five points. Saturday is full of potential for Barkley and other Everton players.

Roberto Firmino – Liverpool

Games: 26; Goals: 9; Total FPL points: 136

Roberto Firmino had his best FPL gameweek against Arsenal (12 points) in some time. Firmino had gone five matches without a goal, but now that he has found the back of the net, it is a great time to get him back in the team.

Liverpool do face Manchester City in gameweek 29, but other than that, the season has great potential for points from Liverpool players.

Georginio Wijnaldum – Liverpool

Games: 25; Goals: 4; Total FPL points: 91

Georginio Wijnaldum has been awesome playing at Anfield his season. Away from home the midfielder hasn’t been as great, but the good news is Liverpool play at Anfield in gameweek 28.

Go heavy on Liverpool players this weekend and expect a great return from the Reds’ players.
