FPL Gameweek 28 Forwards to Count On

premier league, fantasy football, fpl, fantasy sports

The English Premier League will see just four fixtures in English Premier League gameweek 28. Which forwards to count on is the real question as the top Premier League goal scorers will see FA Cup action. FPL gameweek 28 will see just four matches.

Despite the limited forwards available, we have found 5 FPL gameweek 28 forwards to draft, buy, steal or borrow this weekend.

Fernando Llorente – Swansea

Games: 24; Goals: 11; Total FPL points: 104

Fernando Llorente’s change in form has been one of the reasons Swansea have improved over their last eight matches. Llorente’s goals have come in bunches and eight of his goals have come in multi-scoring games.

The Spaniard has tallied 13 or more FPL gameweek points in four matches. This weekend, he is a great option as your lead striker in daily fantasy sports and FPL. His price tag is still reasonable at £6.5.

Romelu Lukaku – Everton

Games: 26; Goals: 18; Total FPL points: 154

Romelu Lukaku has scored two goals in two matches and continues to be one of the most transferred in forwards in FPL. Everton face West Brom in FPL gameweek 28, and though Lukaku scored a mere one point in their last meeting, he should do better than in gameweek 2.

Lukaku was coming off of the 2016 European Championships, so he only played 53 minutes last time Everton played West Brom.

Andre Gray – Burnley

Games: 21; Goals: 8; Total FPL points: 84

Burnley defeated Liverpool in gameweek 2 and Andre Gray tallied 10 points. Although most pundits won’t give Burnley hope of winning against Liverpool at Anfield, Gray could be the difference against Liverpool’s up and down defence.

In gameweek 27, Gray tallied 12 points in Burnley’s 3-2 loss to Swansea. Gray could score big again in FPL gameweek 28, even if Burnley ultimately lose

Andy Carroll – West Ham

Games: 13; Goals: 6; Total FPL points: 49

It has been yet another season of injury and frustration for West Ham’s Andy Carroll. However, with FPL’s top forwards out due to FA Cup action, Carroll is a great option for gameweek 28.

Bournemouth, West Ham’s opponents for gameweek 28, have given up the second most goals in the English Premier League. Carroll’s ability to score from set pieces and crosses make him dangerous this weekend.

Salomon Rondon – West Brom

Games: 27; Goals: 7; Total FPL points: 95

The good thing about Salomon Rondon is he plays every weekend. The bad thing is he hasn’t scored a goal since gameweek 20. Everton may not be the team for Rondon to get out of his funk, but with a limited number of FPL forwards available, he gets the nod in our forwards top 5 list.

In gameweek 2, Rondon managed a mere two points against Everton. Perhaps gameweek 28 will be different.
