Gameweek 30 – Merseyside Derby battle

The Merseyside Derby headlines the action in gameweek 30 as Everton look to end a run of six games without a win against Liverpool. Premier League goal scoring leader Romelu Lukaku is in fantastic form. The Belgian has tallied nine goals in his last six games. Can he finally power Everton to a Merseyside Derby win?

Liverpool will be without captain Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge for the match at Anfield. Everton have not won a Merseyside Derby since October 2010 when the Toffees won at Goodison Park. Meanwhile, the Blues haven’t won a Merseyside Derby at Anfield since 1999 when both Steven Gerrard and Sander Westerveld were sent off.

In the last 23 Merseyside Derby matches that date back to February 2007, Everton have won just twice in all competitions. History is not on the Toffees’ side.

Liverpool have Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino ready for the weekend’s derby, but there are questions around their freshness for the game. Seamus Coleman is out indefinitely after breaking his leg during the international break for Everton.

Arsenal vs. Manchester City

Manchester City have won just once in their last six fixtures against Arsenal, but Pep Guardiola’s side can do the double over the Gunners this season on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal will be without Petr Cech who is battling an injury. Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus is set to miss out on the action as well with a foot injury.

City won the first fixture of the season between the two in December, 2-1, coming from behind with goals from Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea vs. Crystal Palace

Top team Chelsea take on Crystal Palace as the Blues continue to inch closer to the Premier League title. Crystal Palace won against Chelsea the last time the two teams met at Stamford Bridge, but the Blues have won two straight against the Eagles since then.

Eden Hazard and Diego Costa are both battling injury, but the two were in training at the end of the week and should play a part in Saturday’s fixture. Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is also battling an injury, but could make the team sheet on the day. The international break wasn’t kind to Antonio Conte’s team. Fantasy Premier League and daily fantasy sports managers will have their work cut out for them, if these three players aren’t fit enough to take part.

Manchester United vs. West Brom Albion

Manchester United are unbeaten in four of their last six versus West Brom, and look to do the double over the Baggies at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss out due to suspension, while Paul Pogba is out injured. With the two high-profile players missing, West Brom could upset the apple cart at Old Trafford. The Baggies have won three of their last four Premier League matches, and have been solid throughout the season.
