Arsenal will not sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City unless the team fail to keep either Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil at the Emirates. The club is already set to lose Sanchez, but still have hopes of keeping Ozil.
Both Sanchez and Ozil have been offered £280,000-a-week contracts, and keeping one or both of them would prevent the club from pursuing Mahrez further. Reports indicate that Leicester are already preparing for life after the playmaker’s departure and could lose several key players this summer.
Mahrez had been linked with moves to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in the past, but those links have nearly evaporated after Leicester’s poor 2016-17 season.
