Chelsea Trying to Sign Real Madrid Full-Back Danilo

Chelsea have entered the race to sign Real Marid full-back Danilo, but the London side faces stiff competition from Serie A champions Juventus.

Juventus have reportedly bid £17.5 million for the defender, and currently sit in pole position to land the former Porto player. However, it is thought that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is very high on the player and believes he would fit in well with the Blues as a wing-back.

Danilo has not featured regularly for Real Madrid, and has been in and out of the side for much of his time with the Champions League winners. Danilo signed with Madrid from Porto in 2015 for £26m, and the Spanish giants are expected to cut their losses with the Brazilian, and allow him to leave for less than £20m two years after arriving.

Danilo is expected to take the spot for Dani Alves at Juventus after the club allowed the full-back to terminate his contract. Alves is set to sign for Manchester City. Chelsea are still looking to land several players this summer.
