Tottenham to Sell Flop Striker Vincent Janssen for £12m

Tottenham flop Vincent Janssen is set to move to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach for £12 million, according to reports.

The 23-year-old Dutch striker has had a terrible time in front of goal during his spell at Tottenham. In 27 appearances Janssen scored a mere two goals last season in the Premier League. The striker arrived just a summer ago from AZ Alkmaar for £17m, and the club are ready to cut ties with the player.

Janssen’s poor performances haven’t gone unnoticed and his market value has dropped during his spell with the North London club.

Tottenham are looking at signing a trio of players following the sale of Janssen. Bournemouth’s Josh King, Everton’s Ross Barkley and Monaco’s Thomas Lemar are all said to be on manager Mauricio Pochettino’s transfer target list. Arsenal are also after Lemar, but the French club have reject the team’s bid.

While Spurs seem keen to sell Janssen and recoup some of the transfer fee they spent on him. There are some that feel selling the striker already is premature. Janssen did excel in the high-scoring and free flowing Dutch Eredivisie.
