Liverpool send Adam Lallana to Qatar for injury rehab

Liverpool are sending midfielder Adam Lallana to Qatar in an effort to continue his injury rehab. According to Empire of the Kop, the move is one to “change the scenery” as the player continues to recover.

Lallana hasn’t played this season for Liverpool and has been suffering from a thigh injury. It was thought that the midfielder would return for Liverpool’s match against Manchester United on Saturday. However, that timeline looks to have been pushed back.

Aspire training facility

The Englishman will continue his rehab at Qatar’s Aspire training facility. He will be joined by one of Liverpool’s medical staff as he continues his progression. The team hopes the midfielder will return in November, and any thoughts of Lallana making it back for the match against Manchester United were purely wishful.

When did the injury happen?

The injury has been a severe one for the Liverpool playmaker, and it is another one that has caused Lallana to miss a large chunk of games. The 29-year-old suffered the thigh injury on August 2nd during a preseason match against Atletico Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be worried about rushing Lallana back too soon. The German manager is afraid the player will damage his thigh further by being rushed back into the side.
