Liverpool are on the verge of agreeing a £53 million transfer for Lyon’s Nabil Fekir. The midfielder is coming off of his best season in a Lyon shirt and the addition of the player will mean Liverpool have signed four players already this summer.
The Reds have spent £215m on new players. Fekir will join Fabinho and Naby Keita as the club’s newest players. Liverpool are also expected to reach a deal with Stoke in the next 24 hours that will bring Xherdan Shaqiri to Anfield.
With the news of Liverpool splashing cash on Fekir, this is how Twitter reacted.

When Liverpool complete the deal for Nabil Fekir, they will have spent £215m on 4 players in 2018. Before mid-June.

£150m for Naby Keita, Nabil Fekir and Fabinho. I’d say Liverpool are spending that Philippe Coutinho money very well indeed.

We sold Coutinho for £142m.
We have bought:
Nabil Fekir: £52.8m
Naby Keita: £52m
We’ve basically sold Coutinho for a much upgraded midfield for £6.5m. Give Michael Edwards a statue.

Michael Edwards securing Fabinho and Nabil Fékir before the World Cup has started. Top man.

The Coutinho money is now spent… on three brilliant midfielders, aged 23, 24 and 24. Fekir is a direct replacement for Coutinho and while at his level yet, could be. Keita is world-class. Fabinho is perfect for DMC. So happy with Liverpool.
