Is West Ham’s Felipe Anderson ready for a Premier League breakout?

West Ham’s 4-2 win over Burnley was their first in four matches. The Hammers had lost twice and drawn once before their impressive win over Burnley. The team’s last win came when Anderson scored his first goal of the season. That strike came against Manchester United as the Hammers won 3-1.

Saturday’s win was the second time Anderson tallied double-digits this season. The first came against Manchester United as Anderson scored 10 Fantasy Premier League points. Anderson did better against Burnley scoring 13.

West Ham are now 13th, five points ahead of the relegation zone. The Hammers could still get sucked into the relegation zone, but more solid performances from Anderson may see West Ham go the opposite way.

Huddersfield are up next for West Ham in gameweek 12. Despite the Terriers winning against Fulham recently, they are one of the Premier League’s least talented sides. On paper, West Ham have plenty of talent, and Anderson is the leader in that department.

The good news for FPL managers is West Ham’s upcoming fixture list. Although gameweek 13 will see them play Manchester City, the Hammers take on Newcastle, Cardiff, Crystal Palace, and Fulham in the following games. Those are six-point matches and West Ham could propel themselves up the table.

Felipe Anderson will have plenty of chances to shine during West Ham’s run of games. FPL managers can purchase Anderson for just £6.8 million. Despite his three goals and just one assist, the Brazilian looks capable of lighting East London on fire with his play.
