Liverpool could be without key players Sadio Mane and Andrew Robertson for tonight’s clash with Burnley at Turf Moor. The Reds are fresh off of a dramatic Merseyside Derby win against Everton and must win tonight to keep pace with Premier League leaders Manchester City. Jurgen Klopp’s team will be without several stars due to injuries and the list could grow.

Liverpool injuries: Sadio Mane and Andrew Robertson injured

Sadio Mane is expected to sit out Liverpool’s trip to Turf Moor due to a foot injury. The winger was seen on Tuesday in flip-flops around Melwood and may be rested for Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth. Liverpool could even hold out the forward until next week’s crunch Champions League match against Napoli at Anfield.

Left-back Andrew Robertson has been ruled as doubtful to play according to the Evening Standard. The defender is struggling with a dead leg and could be preserved for the weekend’s match against Bournemouth.

Midfielder Adam Lallana continues to struggle with injury. Although his latest knock hasn’t been fully revealed, Lallana has spent more time on the trainer’s table over the last two seasons than on the pitch. Lallana has played in five matches in all competitions this season and has been widely panned by Liverpool supporters for turning in poor performances when on the pitch.

The former Southampton man has recently been linked with a move back to the south coast after the Saints appointed Ralph Hasenhuttl as manager.

Backup striker Dominic Solanke is struggling with a groin issue. Solanke hasn’t appeared in a first-team game this term and is being linked with a January loan to give him playing time.

Predicted Liverpool XI

With injuries to key players, Klopp may be forced to rotate his squad more than he would prefer. Robertson’s omission could force Klopp to play Joe Gomez at left-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold playing on the right side. Dejan Lovren and Virgil van Dijk would then be paired as centre-backs.

Jordan Henderson, James Milner, and Fabinho will most likely make up Liverpool’s midfield three with Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, and Xherdan Shaqiri potentially playing as the three-man forward line.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Gomez, Henderson, Milner, Fabinho, Shaqiri, Firmino, Salah.
