Maurizio Sarri’s team is coming off of a 3-1 win over Malmo in the Europa League last-32 first leg match. Meanwhile, Manchester United suffered defeat in the Champions League, 2-0, to Paris Saint-Germain.

Solskjaer must now get his team up for its FA Cup clash. However, Manchester United have a poor recent record at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United – Injuries

Forward Jesse Lingard suffered a hamstring injury during Manchester United’s loss to PSG. The England international limped off and was replaced by the ineffective Alexis Sanchez.

It was reported post-game that Sanchez was injured prior to entering the match. Sanchez blamed one of the linesmen for running into him as he warmed up before coming on.

Sanchez may still have a place in the Manchester United team on Monday, however.

Anthony Martial also suffered an injury and will be out for three weeks. It is the same amount of time Lingard will be sidelined.

The Frenchman has missed four Premier League matches through injury this term.

Chelsea – Injuries

Sarri will be without three first-team players for Monday night’s fixture. Midfielder Marco van Ginkel remains sidelined with a long-term injury.

Meanwhile, Danny Drinkwater and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are expected to miss through injury. The duo could still pass a late fitness test to feature in the game.

Chelsea are undefeated in their last 10 games against Manchester United when playing at Stamford Bridge or when considered the home team playing on neutral ground.

Either Chelsea or Manchester United will join the remaining seven teams left in this season’s FA Cup.

Manchester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Watford, Brighton, Swansea, Millwall, Crystal Palace have all booked their tickets for the last eight.

According to leading sportsbooks, Manchester City have the best odds with Chelsea, Wolverhampton, and Manchester United coming in next.
