Martial in, Rashford out

Anthony Martial is expected to return against Arsenal on Monday night but after missing three straight matches, he is likely to make little impact. Marcus Rashford went off injured against West Ham with a groin strain. The Manchester United forward is now ruled out of Monday night’s match.

Rashford has been incredibly disappointing despite scoring 32 Fantasy Premier League points. Rashford has scored three goals but just one has come from open play. Prior to going off injured against West Ham, Rashford looked lackadaisical and uninterested in the task at hand. Commentator Gary Neville was critical of Rashford’s play, at least as much as Neville can be when commentating on a Manchester United match.

Manchester United’s hopes all on Greenwood

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will put his hopes on 17-year-old academy product Mason Greenwood. The youngster has played well thus far scoring two goals in six appearances in all competitions. Although none of his goals have come in the Premier League, Greenwood has scored more strikes from open play than Rashford this term.

Greenwood has scored a mere four points and costs only £4.4 million for gameweek 7. He is a bit of a long shot to tally points against Arsenal. However, the Gunners’ defence has been poor this season and David Luiz and company are not worth backing t keep a clean sheet.

So, is there anyone at Manchester United to put in your FPL team for gameweek 7?

Can Daniel James score points?

Winger Daniel James surprised many with his bright start to the season. He scored 25 FPL points between gameweeks 1 and 4. He has struggled, however, in the last two gameweeks scoring a combined four points in total.

James was selected by 909,015 FPL manager for gameweek 6. If there is a Manchester United player who can tally goals and get at Arsenal’s defence, it is surely James this weekend.

However, James’ bright start maybe just that. Has he fizzled out already? James struggled to make impacts in Manchester United’s last two games. Against West Ham, he completed his fourth straight match playing a full 90 minutes.

What about Paul Pogba?

After nine points in gameweek 1 against Chelsea, Paul Pogba has been a massive disappointment. He missed a penalty against Wolverhampton Wanderers in gameweek 2 that would have led to a victory. He managed zero points that weekend.

Pogba did not play against Leicester City nor West Ham due to injury. He did appear in midweek against Rochdale. Can he be the man to score goals and lead the Manchester United attack? His performance against Rochdale wasn’t promising and making it questionable if he can rise to the occasion against Arsenal.
